Post 8: Media Language links with all other theories

For all pieces of media, media language is vitally important. From things like codes and conventions to things such as camera and shot sizes. Within films shot sizes and angles are thought of as being part of the media language as they build a language for the film.

My new understanding of media language will help me when filming our short film as it will help me understand what and how different shot sizes can create for the audience. It will help me look more into detail at what shot sizes we decide to use and make sure we pick the best ones possible. For our audience to be able to understand our film and the plot we have created, we need our media language to be accurate and portray exactly what we want, and having knowledge of media language will help us to create this.
